bushwacking through my mind
writing is a relatively new endeavor for me. it started a few years back with a little piece of fan fiction and grew from there. i now almost exclusively write original stuff as i grew tired of playing in someone else's sandbox.
writing does not come naturally to me. i'm not one of those people that has been crafting stories since they were knee high to a grasshopper. from day one i've had to work at my craft, at times only completing a story through sheer force of will. i know writing is not supposed to be easy, but i think it's a little different when you do it because you want to rather than doing it because you have some driving, undeniable need pushing you to the keyboard.
or maybe that's how all writer's feel and i'm not as lonely as i think i am.
