this wee one is so damned photogenic, it’s simply not fair. i need to get a whole gallery up of my kitty boys soon.

queen mab - mother
the source images, once again, are lost to time on this piece. queen mab came to visit me and stayed around for the better part of a week. she’s a very possessive creature, beware if she ever shows up on your doorstep with a quest for you. i learned so, so much about photoshop while […]
the losing game
source image from deviant art, details on my deviant art page. i hadn’t done any kind of visual thing in a few months when i sat down to work on this piece. i had no idea what i was trying to do until i found the particular piece of stock art i used as the […]
iris lady

hope
the source images for this piece have been lost to time, along with most of the thought process that went into creating it. what i do remember is that the idea came to me fully-formed and it was a challenge translating that vision onto the screen. there are slight variations, but this is more or […]
first scarf
a very simple scarf, this was my first ever knitting project. it was started when i needed something to do with my hands, to relax at a very stressful time. it isn’t perfect, but it is wearable and warm and even includes bits of my wonderful braveheart’s fur embedded in the stitches.

elemental prayer beads
i made this string of beads to act as i kind of pagan rosary. basically, though, it’s a meditation focus. the charms on the end have words like ‘hope’ and ‘dream’ as well as a couple of crescent moons. loops on the end would allow it to be hooked together with a temporary clasp and […]
messenger bag
the pattern was based on the ‘jordy bag‘, a simple sewing project. i’m incredibly pleased with how this came out. it’s large enough to hold a three-ring binder, but without being incredibly bulky about it. the tan fabric was an ikea curtain that was once used as a slipcover. the lining is vintage fabrid from […]
gnome hat
the ‘gnome hat’ was knitted on size 8 needles in lion brand ‘thick and quick’. the pattern is from debbie stoller’s ’stitch n bitch’. i worked on it while on the train from montclair, nj to penn station.

mr. dormouse
this little guy is made of felt, fabric and stuffing. the pattern and clothing and such is all original. i’m very pleased with how he came together, especially his little belly. i also like how the shape of his snout came out.
