taking lots of little breaks was key, but i still finished an entire 24 page zine in under 12 hours.
okay, so this means i really need to get my butt in gear and finish off the rest of the ones i have half done.
ollie performed admirably and while my hands are a bit […]
yay! it’s done!
yay for 24 hour projects!!!
i’m in the process of doing the ‘24 hour zine thing‘ because i said i was gonna do it.
so far the best part is typing on my royal arrow manual typewriter. his name is ollie, named after oliver queen, the green arrow (royal = queen, arrow = the green arrow, get it?). he’s the […]

the infamous zine is buzzing in my head. i’ve got an idea for a mini to go along with it as well as bookmarks and a couple places to have it distroed (to use the zinester lingo). all very exciting!
made a couple pieces of artwork last night that i’m fairly well pleased with. i’ll […]

hey all!
hey all!
many of my favorite bloggsters have put little holds on their writing, so i’m here to write something myself. now, what to write about.
let’s see, well, i’ve been having some very complex dreams lately. they usually occur in the couple of hours before i wake up. my mind makes up these humongously complicated […]

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
what can i say about this book? it's a lovely memoir of julia child's arrival in paris, her journey learning the language and discovering her life's passion in cooking.
the whole story is special to me, having grown up watching her show on television. mrs. child taught me a great many things about cooking (including the fact that mistakes are okay) and her warm, engaging style comes through in the text. i could hear her warbly voice in my head the entire time i was reading.
