saw king crimson in concert last night. they were outstanding, of course. the interesting part for me was seeing where they fit into my brain.

we watched all three Bourne movies in about […]
indigo girls…
yup, we saw them at NJPAC last night. brilliant show. love the new songs, love the old. Matt Chamberlain was just wonderful to watch, such a tasty drummer, he was an integral glue to the full band stuff.
it was just a really nice time and the seats were great. box seats are the way to […]

Hey world!
How ya doin’?
I’ve had a rough week or so. I’m hoping to get stuff back on track this week. We went to see Jon Anderson in concert last night. It was quite magical. He played two solo sets acoustic with some background programming. It was intimate and lovely. After the show, we all queued […]

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
what can i say about this book? it's a lovely memoir of julia child's arrival in paris, her journey learning the language and discovering her life's passion in cooking.
the whole story is special to me, having grown up watching her show on television. mrs. child taught me a great many things about cooking (including the fact that mistakes are okay) and her warm, engaging style comes through in the text. i could hear her warbly voice in my head the entire time i was reading.
