both me and the car are sick today. at least he doesn’t have hormone problems. he does have to spend the night in some strange garage, though. i hope he makes some nice friends while he’s away. poor henson.

illness all ’round…
the post with no purpose…
feel like i should be posting something, but i’ve not much to say so i’ll just ramble about doctor who for a bit.
martha has yet to really grow on me. she’s okay, but she’s trying a bit too hard to get the doctor’s attention and let me just say she is definitely not rose. […]
oh hai!
just trodding the path before me lately. nothing much to mention, hence the silence from my end of the internet. i’m just keeping my head above water. i keep trying to get stuff done and things like work and mundane life keep getting in my way. i’m starting to adjust my head and get things […]

and now i present, the car. not my actual car, but the exact same color inside and out:and the interior, note the big boondahshy oval that contains the radio, tape deck and vent controls:now he just needs a name.

Hey world!
How ya doin’?
I’ve had a rough week or so. I’m hoping to get stuff back on track this week. We went to see Jon Anderson in concert last night. It was quite magical. He played two solo sets acoustic with some background programming. It was intimate and lovely. After the show, we all queued […]

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
what can i say about this book? it's a lovely memoir of julia child's arrival in paris, her journey learning the language and discovering her life's passion in cooking.
the whole story is special to me, having grown up watching her show on television. mrs. child taught me a great many things about cooking (including the fact that mistakes are okay) and her warm, engaging style comes through in the text. i could hear her warbly voice in my head the entire time i was reading.
