illness all ’round…

both me and the car are sick today. at least he doesn’t have hormone problems. he does have to spend the night in some strange garage, though. i hope he makes some nice friends while he’s away. poor henson.

i’ve got mom’s mustang for the day tomorrow. i know everyone goes ‘ooooh, mustang!’, but honestly i hate driving the thing. it make take curves like a dream, but it corners like ass. the seat is dead uncomfortable and the steering console makes it difficult to brake, never a good thing.

have i mentioned i’m royally fatigued and a wee bit cranky?

in other news of failure, i started on my cousin’s scarf today. crocheted a medium sized ball’s worth of yarn and took a good look. it’s ass. i’m going to stop while i’m behind and start over doing long stripes. thankfully, it only took me a couple hours and i don’t feel bad moving on. i’m not going to frog it, i’ll fix it up in january when i’m done with the rest of the gifts.

speaking of january. i’m thinking of tackling an afghan next year. one largish block a month or some such. there’s also a cool hexagonal pattern i found at the craft store the other day. maybe i’ll use that. i’m determined to reduce the size of my stash in the next year so i can justify buying more yarn. :D

also? so got the nano bug. i’m definitely going to channel this energy into the secret project. i’m feeling the need to write.

and yeah, i’m stressed about the election, too. just can’t wait until it’s over with, though i fear that unless there’s a large enough margin, there will be a battle for at least the next couple of weeks.

okay, i’m off to make some food and then curl up with my first episode of the second doctor and get some work done on the scarf.

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
