my body forgot about the time change…

i’ve been up for about two hours already. it’s 10 am on a sunday and i’m wide awake, have done a long tai chi session, crocheted a bit, made my ‘to do’ list for the day, played with the internet, and futzed with my pictures.

forgot to set my bedroom clock back last night, so i didn’t realize what time it was when i woke up. didn’t really matter as i couldn’t get back to sleep, but it caused some confusion when i read the computer clock and it said 8:30. eek.

my energy seems to be up at the moment. maybe it’s the old nanowrimo energy rearing its head? anyway, finished off two knitting projects yesterday.

and my blue scarf thing:

that project was almost a failure. it was way to short to be a scarf and too narrow to be a shawl. it didn’t work as anything, really. then i started adding very long fringe and now it looks really pretty and i’m happy with the way it came out.

so now i’m on to holiday gifts. gonna see if i can save some bucks this year and crochet or knit stuff for family. i’m on a roll right now so i figured i’d take advantage of the fiber energy. also, it’s a good excuse to do some stash reduction so i can justify buying more yarn. :D

later i’m skipping off to the library for a short visit, which will probably turn longer than i expect. i just feel like it’s so early i’ll be able to get lots done today. the light is so gorgeous outside right now, the sun is filtering through the yellow leaves so prettily. i heart fall.

oh, keep forgetting to share this photo. our back yard in the late afternoon a couple days ago. (yeah, we back onto a golf course)

okay, back to my yarn.

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
