some thoughts of a random nature…

simply haven’t had much going on that’s felt blog-worthy of late. all is quiet in my little world. i’m just waiting for the temperatures to stick below the 70 degree mark so i can get outside and walk and sit and breathe. in lieu of something more substantial, here’s some random snapshots:

finished doctor who. it was good. i’m now prepping to delve into the old, old classic episodes. 1st doctor and all. yay netflix.

heroes is still rocking my socks.

crochet and knitting continue to be the art of choice for the moment. i should probably post a work-in-progress pic or two, but i’ve been lazy.

weird illnesses the last couple of days. feeling better, but still a bit off.

i’m utterly intrigued by the idea of modern-day calling cards. actually, this is something i thought of years ago, but have never followed up on. perhaps a bit of fun for my design brain to play with?

it’s busy season at work. i could honestly do without, but that’s not really a surprise, right?

finished rereading my favoritist book in the entire universe for the bazillionth time: ‘the hero and the crown’ by robin mckinley. i’m thinking of making an aerin-themed music mix. someday i shall write a screenplay for this book. the idea has been in my head for over a decade and one day i’ll sit down and do it.

speaking of writing, there’s hints of my muse stirring somewhere in the backend of my brain. definitely not doing nanowrimo this year, but the approach of november 1st has me thinking about pulling last year’s out and giving it a second chance.

still wondering what’s keeping me from putting out all the zines i have set up and ready to go. i’m just a big chicken, i guess.

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
