dear future self,
remember for next year that the week before labor day is an opportune time to take vacation. everyone else is off and the place is quiet and, more noticeably, boring.
signed,
your past self
i would really like to go home now. yes, i have training videos to watch, but they make me sleepy. of course that could also be because i had a LOT of trouble sleeping last night and then was awoken about an hour early by jackhammering in the street.
i need a nap.
i also would like to revamp my wardrobe. i think that’s the approaching autumn talking. i don’t have much in the way of summer wear, in part because i don’t like summer and refuse to dress for it. (i know, it sounds stupid, but indulge me my weird ways) so now that i can feel fall coming, slowly but surely, i’m starting to think about the clothing situation.
in order to reduce my environmental and sweatshop impact (and also because clothes money is usually spent in other places) i tend to wear my clothes until there are holes and threadbareness going on. at this point, though, i need to take a good look and see what needs replacing or repairing and where there are gaps.
got plenty of t-shirts so i’m good there. i just have to rotate them out. i have a few tops i wear to work, but not enough and the ones i do have are starting to show their age.
okay, so i don’t just keep rambling here, let me just say that i think labor day weekend will be spent sorting through the clothes and making plans to hit the thrift stores soon.
