yay! he’s finished! and so cute! i heart the ninth doctor!
this is only my second crochet project and it was surprisingly quick to finish. granted, i did already know how to knit. the concepts are quite similar, even if the actual technique is very different.
gonna take a little break and do some knitting before […]
one doctor down…
a ramble about nothing in particular…
ah, the labor day weekend has all but arrived and damn, i’m in deep need.
gonna do a little reset of my life this weekend. clean out the closet, revamp the tai chi practice and try to figure out a way to keep myself inspired in the kitchen. something has been seriously off the last […]
bored and biding my time…
i’m so, so bored here at work. got a bit of a headache, so i’m really not good for anything productive. instead, i’m just bored. *le sigh*
time is not flowing properly for me right now. it is moving much too slowly between 10am and 6pm, then accelerating from 6 to 1am. and don’t even get […]
note to self with bonus randomness…
dear future self,
remember for next year that the week before labor day is an opportune time to take vacation. everyone else is off and the place is quiet and, more noticeably, boring.
signed,
your past self
i would really like to go home now. yes, i have training videos to watch, but they make me sleepy. of […]
yes horoscope. you are exactly right…
It’s hard for you to keep your mind on work today, for you are fantasizing about an upcoming adventure. Don’t worry if you aren’t being realistic; this isn’t about what you do next in your life. It’s about giving yourself the permission you need in order to have fun in the present moment and not […]

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
what can i say about this book? it's a lovely memoir of julia child's arrival in paris, her journey learning the language and discovering her life's passion in cooking.
the whole story is special to me, having grown up watching her show on television. mrs. child taught me a great many things about cooking (including the fact that mistakes are okay) and her warm, engaging style comes through in the text. i could hear her warbly voice in my head the entire time i was reading.
