the second book of the ‘twilight’ series followed the pattern of the first. to me these books tend to be a bit unevenly paced, but still a fun read. something keeps me going despite my frustration with how the main character reacts to certain things. of course as the whole book is written in first person makes it difficult to escape that view.
as with laurell k. hamilton’s work, stephenie meyer has created a unique take on vampires and werewolves. always the trickiest part of working with this particular genre, it’s always neat to see someone come up with something new.
and yes, i’m looking forward to reading the third and fourth books in the series.
