updated my reading list for 08. added reviews of the cheese monkeys and the learners and twilight. am currently reading a southern vampire novel, but it’s not really grabbing me much. i’m about a third in and i’ll probably give it a bit longer before packing it in.

i think i started reading it just because i’m anxious to read the second twilight novel, but have to wait for the paperback later this month. i would probably do better if i read the protector of the small series instead and will probably start that soon.

brought the camera with me to work today (if you’re looking for it, bear, it’s with me) in order to take a few pics of the office plants. i’ll be posting them later on the gardening project blog, along with a nice updated about the herb garden and my lettuces. i’m hoping to also get some pics of some of the birds in the area. i think we have so many different species here in an office park because we’re right next to a pretty, tree-filled cemetary. seems to be a haven for birds and bunnies.

i’m currently working my way through the site, updating little things here and there, making new posts as needed and doing general bits of maintenance. i’ve been making lists and checking things off like a mad woman. it kind of sucked when i got one of my headaches last night, though i did manage to get a few things done before hitting the sack around 10 o’clock. knowing i’d feel better when i got up, i set my alarm a bit early and managed to get a few things i meant to do last night completed before leaving for work this morning.

now that i’m here, i’m having a blissfully quiet day. the new employee is picking things up pretty quickly. i think she may be a little bit out of her depth, but very willing to learn. definitely an improvement on the last one.

and i’ve already done a little something for the third secret project. (give me a few more days and i’ll do a post on it. i promise.) i hope things stay like this for the rest of the afternoon. i’m starting to get my head into the right space to do some dividing and tackling and planning. step by step and little by little, i’m building momentum.
