what a fun and easy read, with a couple of touching, heartfelt moments. life at the public library is a lot more complicated than what you think, apparently. of course i don’t expect that my local librarians have quite the same daily trials as the folks in this book (non-fiction, btw). but then they aren’t running a branch library of a major city (in this case l.a.). not as funny as billed, more thought-provoking than advertised.

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
