i had to take yesterday off from noveling. blech!

there was a ton of loading and unloading of a u-haul, some emotional drama and a lot of overworked muscles.

we’re officially out of the last storage unit from the flood era (i know, i know, three years is too long, but it was fucking hard, okay?) and we can move on to yet another stage in the cleanup from that disaster.

anyway, all that means is that the entire day got eaten away and before i knew it we were wandering the A&P at 11:15 and I knew that writing was not going to happen at all.

it may have been a good thing, a chance to reset my brain to keep going. i’ve reoutlined what i’ve already written and i’m now in the process of outlining where i need to go. even if it turns out crappy, i’m hoping that i can just get the bare bones of this story down.

i think i started making it too complex and placing it on a bit of a high pedestal when it comes to my expectations for the story.

my next step is to relax and relearn how to just write.
