ugh. yesterday could have been a thousand times better.

the whole drumkit moving/setting up thing went as smoothly as we could have hoped. it was hard, sweaty work, but before i knew it, we were done!

unfortunately, i then started feeling a bit ill. not good as i was staying for the whole day and the studio is about two hours from home. as the next hour or so went by, a full on migraine sunk it’s teeth into my head.

i ended up sleeping for most of the day, just to escape the pain and nausea.

it pissed me off on so many levels. i usually resign myself to sickness and crawl into bed. this time, i was really annoyed by the whole thing. i had planned on getting some writing done and doing about twenty other cool and interesting things, besides listening to the band record.

that just didn’t pan out and i just curled onto the studio couch and crashed.

on the way home, at about 11pm, i finally started feeling better. dammit! i ended up staying up until 2:30 reading. having slept most of the day, i was now wide awake and hungry.

i made the decision last night to stay home from work today. glad i did, because while i do feel better, i’m still just kind of knackered.

so, yippee for migraines! *rolls eyes*

on an up note, what i did get to hear of the recording sessions sounded good. also, staying home today meant i got a ton of little updates done on my website. i’ve still got plenty of posts to do, but at least now there are no more empty or missing pages and there’s an entry under each category.

now, off to shower and write and nap!
