had a very mixed weekend. friday night i watched Daredevil (which was better than i was rumoured to be) and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which had to be one of the most chaotic movies i’ve ever seen. It was good, but wow, my head was spinning just a wee bit when it was over. i would willingly watch either one again.
saturday i watched a lot of episodes of Firefly, cleaned the kitchen up (i now have an almost legit spice rack in the cabinet) and did laundry and dishes. i took things slow, relaxed and felt good and well rested.
sunday wasn’t quite so fun. i spent way too much time trying to fix some back end stuff on this website. it didn’t work the way i wanted to and in the process i kinda broke my brain. the result of all this is a still messy website and i didn’t get any writing done. i was pretty bummed.
i finally just gave in and watched a silly movie, on television no less. i probably would have done other things, or watched something else, but boo decided he wanted to curl his furry little self up next to me and who am i to argue with such a rare occurance? so we watched a movie together and snuggled. he purred like a little motor when he wasn’t sleeping.
when that was over, i did up the remaining dishes from the big fridge clean out and made lunch. listened to Margaret Cho while i did so and she cheered me up greatly.
so i’m a bit sad that i wasn’t able to carry the saturday energy over. i don’t know what this week will be like at work, but i’m hoping that things will stay quiet and i’ll have some energy left over to write.
