taxes. blech. but at least they are done and out of my hair until next year.

went to the parental unit’s for easter, such as it was. it’s strange how secular that holiday is, actually any holiday, at my parent’s house. easter, though is supposed to be the most important to those who follow that path, and yet it has always been almost a throwaway holiday in my family. meh.

the zine is coming along nicely. i got a little more fiddling done today, continuingg to work on it in bits and pieces as my inspiration allows.

in order to fix some of those inspiration problems, i’ve been working on cleaning my studio, hoping to finish it tonight. i’ve rearranged things a bit, creating a ‘writing nook’ in one corner to build myself some mental space. fixed up the artsy-craftsy part of the studio as well. i’ll have to work on some kind of project soon to try out how the new system works. fingers crossed that this will lead to some movement after a couple weeks of blockage.

of course, i’m looking forward to my vacation. trying to figure out what i’m going to do, but also trying to not put huge expectations on things and allow myself the space to really relax.
