sometimes when you pay close attention to the world around you, you find solutions in the most obvious of places.
i was just fiddling about in my website files, the background stuff only i get to see. i was trashing a few things and doing some general cleaning when i found a lovely new feature (of course it could have been there for months now) that will let me edit my html! there’s even a little wysiwyg editor! time to warm up those old html chops!
i know i’ve been sounding like a total geek lately, but i just can’t help myself. i get really excited and enthused by new tech toys and the recent developments on the web have got my juices flowing.
eventually i’ll find a new comfort zone in the info stream and settle in, but for now i seem to be caught up in the current flow of information and developments and trying to find ways to make my art easier to update and create. it’s a process where i turn on the left brain and absorb information and skills until it becomes second nature and my right brain can take it and go ‘ooh! new toys! let’s see what i can do with this’. at this point i then end up creating things that feel like they came from somewhere outside of myself and i become the tool through which creation can occur. and that, my dear readers, is why i get so enthused when i think about hand coding html.
