bored. bored. bored. there’s nothing much going on…

bored. bored. bored.
there’s nothing much going on right now. i guess that’s not such a bad thing when compared to what the last year was like. i’m definitely feeling the summertime hybernation thing.
not reading anything i’m particularly attached to at the moment. i’ve got a couple creative projects i’m working on as well as a little bit of zine work. over all, though, i’m kinda bored. it’s been a long time since i’ve felt this way, bored, i mean. years maybe.
i am inspired to work on a harry potter scarf. perhaps get it done in time to go to the goblet of fire opening? not sure what house colors to do. the obvious choice is gryffindor, but i’m always sorted into hufflepuff. so do the obvious, most popular, or rebel and do something different. i guess it can also be decided on how much i want to look at yellow and black yarn as opposed to maroon and gold. hmm.
at the moment what i want to do is get some new music and knit on the train with a decent discman. the batteries in the one i’m using at work crapped out early this morning so i am, yet again, musicless and it’s driving me a bit round the bend.
eh. when i really take a good long look at my mood, i think it comes down to a desparate need for some time off. there’s no vacation in my future, i’m just hoping the job thing works out soon. my birthday is in two months and i have no idea what i want to do on it. something simple and uncomplicated. it’s not every day your young woman turns 30 (to paraphrase hagrid) so i’d like to do something a little special. still, i have no ideas. at least i’ve got plenty of time.
alright, enough of my bored rambling.
ta!

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
