hi.
yup, still me, still alive, not quite yet kicking.
there has been an obvious increase in my creative output in the last couple of months. under development are projects such as:
a new, upgraded website
knitted scarves and hats galore
a zine and associated website
sewn purses and pouches and banners, oh my
soft stuffed friends
embroidered artwork
beads + wire = jewelry
and anything else my little brain comes up with
the spiritual stuff is beginning to simmer as well. there is new perspective there and a sense of home i’ve not truly felt before.
the mourning is still a present part of my life. things sometimes look brighter and cleaner and new in the light of change. sometimes they look dark and depressing and hopeless. time will heal these wounds.
a new job is beginning at the end of the month. full of promise, a splash of glamour, uncertainty and excitement, i look forward to this change. i will admit that leaving my current employer after over six years is no easy feat for someone who likes to “nest”, but this is the best thing i can do for myself right now. after all, a girl’s gotta keep herself in yarn and buttons and zippers doesn’t she?
