did a lot of great yard work today, the house looks great! man, if only i could have more 3 day weekends, i could get so much more accomplished. well, we must make the most of the time that is given to us.

memorial day. something i don’t really hold any belief in celebrating. not with what has been going on the last couple of years. it’s kind of hard to think about whether or not WWI & WWII or Korea were “just” and necessary wars. there’s always got to be another way. but when you look at any “conflicts” the u.s. has been involved in over the last 40 years, you simply can’t justify them in hindsight. we’re supposedly the policemen of the world. even if this is true, when was the last time you saw u.s. policeman with grenades and rocket launchers?
