Had a wonderful, idyllic two and a half days of being snowbound. Yes, of course I could have done something more productive, but why? Why not take in that peace and quiet, the moon on fresh snow, the scratching of a mouse in the wall. It was relaxing and soft and lovely.

It’s always a bit jarring when the world comes crashing back in. This morning I feel as if I’ve been sleeping and dreaming for the past couple of days. In truth, I’ve probably been more connected to everything than I am now. It was a zen experience. I lived moment to moment and did practically nothing. Sorry to ramble about it, but weekends like that don’t come very often, they are to be cherished and savored for as long as they last.
