Phantom Menace Premier

Yes, we were big, cheesy dorks and got on line on at seven o’clock Wednesday night for the midnight showing of Star Wars. We sat with some nice guys from Tom’s River.

Some quotes from our five hour wait:

“The movies supposed to be horrible, but the last half hour is to die for.” Said with a British accent.

“You guys are troopers” Yeah, clone troopers!

“Have a good time!”

“Are you in line for tomorrow?” Remeber this was Wednesday night!

“Oh my god! Enjoy it! I’ll say something on the way out!” Said by a guy going into another movie. We were still sitting there when his let out.

“Are you guys first? Good for you!”

“What, are you having a picnic?” Snacks flowed freely that night and we were spread out, sitting down.

“What is this line for fucking Phantom Menace?” To quote Jar-Jar, “How wude!!”

“You guys are in line?!?”

“When’s the movie come out?” When told midnight, “You Gooooooooo! If I wasn’t old, I’d be with you!”

“You guys want really good seats, don’t you?”

“Meesa thinks Jar Jar stinks.” Again, “How wude!”

All in all, it was one of the most enjoyable nights of my life. We all laughed and talked, got our favorite seats, felt community with our fellow fans, got interviewed by the local daily paper and had a wonderful time!

By the way, the movie also rocked and has got to be one of the best of the series so far.

Yoda rules!!!

sometimes i lay in bed before getting up and dream up the ultimate computer network for our house. it involves a computer-run media center, many redundant terabytes backup drives and a big networked laser printer.
